Anders Stefansen receives the Prize of Honour 2011

Jazzpromoter Anders Stefansen received the Ben Webster Prize of Honour at a jazzevent arranged by Little Beat Records on May 6, 2011. Ander Stefansen brought Ben Webster to Copenhagen in 1964. He was the owner of the famous Jazzhus Slukefter in Tivoli Gardens for many years. And for more than 40 years Anders Stefansen managed JATP concerts for Norman Granz in Denmark and the other Scandinavian countries. To day he is still active as a recordproducer for Storyville. The Ben Webster Prize of honor is given to Anders by the famous saxophone player Jesper Thilo, who played many gigs in the 60'es with Ben Webster as a member of Anvid Meyer's Orchestra.

THE BEN WEBSTER PRIZE OF HONOUR
Since 1984 the Ben Webster Foundations has given a Prize of Honour aimed at musicians that has contributed to the spirit of Ben Webster.
